      Celebrate Mid-summer and feel energised and refreshed on this weekend of yoga and meditation and guided outings into Nature spent in the beautiful Burren Yoga and Meditation Centre on the west coast of Ireland.

      You choose whether you leave on Sunday or stay until the close of the retreat on Monday after lunch.

      This Mid-Summer weekend retreat will be reasonably gentle, but will also challenge each person to work with the postures to their own ability.

      Niamh Jones is a very dedicated yoga teacher and practitioner.

      She teaches from the heart and takes the time with each person to ensure they understand the practices that she is teaching and also encourages each person in a wonderful way to reach towards your own potential.

      Niamh is a qualified Bikram Yoga teacher and also a qualified Ashtanga yoga teacher.

      She has been practicing meditation for many years and brings this awareness to her teaching.

      Niamh has a lovely ‘easy manner and soft approach’ and will have you practicing postures you thought you would not be able for, and improving your alignment as the long weekend progresses.

      Everybody arrives on Friday evening and we start with dinner at 7:00 pm.

      While still in this tranquil peaceful space, Niamh will then lead you through a beautiful energizing and invigorating Hatha yoga class which although reasonably gentle will also challenge every single person in the class to their own ability.

      On Saturday and Sunday Dave will take the group out on a guided walk into the Burren hills or by the sea. June is a great month to see many of the wild flowers in the Burren.

       

      This is a great way to be shown some very special places in this beautiful part of Ireland and first time visitors to The Burren are astounded by the beauty and the uniqueness of the spectacular shaped limestone hills which plunge down into the Atlantic.

       

      Sometimes we go for walks along Fanore beach where we often go surfing during the summer months.

      Most people come on their own, and these eco yoga retreats are a great way to meet like minded people.

       

      Niamh will teach more gentle variations to those who are less fit, while teaching more advanced versions of the postures to those who are already practicing and those who are more fit. There is no comparison made between course participants and each person is encouraged to practice at their own level.

      After the morning hatha yoga class, we have breakfast and go out for an organized outing into the Burren or by the sea. These outings are great fun, and a lovely way to get to know the other course participants on the course.

      During our guided outings Dave will take us to one of the best local places to eat lunch at one of the local restaurants or cafes and this is a great way to sample the best of the locale cuisine in the Burren.

      Each afternoon we have another yoga class with Niamh from 5:00 – 6:30 pm and one feels the deepening of one’s practice with the consistent and attentive teaching from a very gifted teacher over this bank holiday weekend.

      Each evening we have a delicious dinner prepared by Paddi our famous chef who used to run Seventh Heaven restaurant in Galway city for over 12 years.
