Questions i would like to ask
Do i need to bring my own yoga mat?
We have yoga mats, blocks, blankets belts and chairs at the yoga centre which you are welcome to use while you are here.
But it can be nice to practice on your own yoga mat, so please do bring your own mat with you if you like.

FAQWhat is the weather like and what clothes should I bring?
The weather on the west coast of Ireland is very un-predictable. The prevaling wind blows straight in from the atlantic ocean and the weather can change quite quickly many times during the day.
In general the climate is moderate and ranges from about 10 degrees mid Winter to about 25 degrees celcius mid Summer.
In winter it is never too cold to go out for walks and in summer it is never too hot where one has to just lie on a bed with the heat.
The wind is either non existent to a soft breeze. About 4 or 5 times a year we may have a couple of days with stronger winds.
We can get rain, sunshine, clouds and changing weather any time during the year ;-)
From November to April
Be prepared for anything from warm sunshine to cold and rainy conditions.
Best to bring extra layers of clothes so that as one gets warmer one can take a layer or two off.
A good idea to bring a warm fleece or outdoor jacket in addition to good rain gear.
From April to October
The weather is usually more sunny, warmer and less rain during this time of year.
The warmest months tend to be from June - September. However it is impossible to generalise in this way as we sometimes have quite a warm sunny May followed by a cooler overcast June, a warm mixed July and an overcast August.
The changing weather is one reason why the Irish always talk about the weather. It also brings a sense of adventure and openness, as one can never tell what tomorrow will bring. For this reason, many of the plans are only unfolded as the day unfolds, keeping the sense of newness, freshness and not holding rigidly to plans.
Nature and the weather can help us let go of expectations and live within the moment.
From June to September
Usually the warmest, sunniest weather.
The weather is rarely too hot to stop us walking in the hills or going out for walks or sailing.
Good idea to bring tee-shirts and shorts, swimming costume, sun-block and sun hat, but to also include rain gear and maybe a light fleece top in case it becomes cooler.
Bikram workshops
Bring extra bathtowel(s) to lay out on your yoga mat to absorb sweat. Also a couple of extra smaller towels are nice to have. And extra changes of yoga wear as there will be 4 Bikram sessions.
Iyengar workshops
Bring your own yoga blankets and any props which you normally use.
