Title
Explore the Burren (walking) with guide John Connolly.
Start the day with an optional early gentle yoga class.
The Burren
The limestone hiils of the Burren is one of Ireland's most beautiful places.
It is a place full of magic, ancient ruins, stone forts, dolmens, wedge tombs, wild Burren flowers, unspolit natural beauty alongside the vast expanse of the Atlantic ocean.
The magical Burren areaThe Burren is a landscape of contrasts, a wild untamed beauty that is in a constant state of change.
The act of walking allows you to become connected not only to the physical landscape, but also to the landscape of the mind. This landscape of mind embodies the myth, traditions and folklore of a native people...
Walkers of all abilities will be stunned by the beauty of this unique landscape.
Your guide will introduce you to a landscape, its people and ancient culture, mixed with a wee dash of Irish wit and charm.
Your Guide
John Connolly of Burren Wild regularily takes groups on walks through the Burren, taking them to little known places and also to some of the favourite places too.

He has a B.A. in Irish Heritage, with a special interest in Mythology, Archaeology, Folklore and Celtic Spirituality.

Do people come on their own or with someone else ?
Most people come on the own from all different parts of the country and also some from abroad who fly into Shannon.
The atmosphere is quite easy going and friendly and warm, so its the type of centre where you arrive and before you know you feel at home.
Sometimes people do come in pairs if they also happen to have a friend who enjoys yoga weekends too.
Is it cold in Winter ?
The centre has underfloor heating throughout the building. So even if the weather gets cold outside, it is nice and cosy inside. This includes the Yoga room and the dorms at night.
Staying an additional night
This may enable you to get a cheaper flight. You need to check this with the centre and it depends on availability.
