Directions from Galway to Kinvara
Take Limerick road (same as Dublin road initially) out of Galway,
and stay on Limerick road.
Pass through Clarinbridge village, and then come into Kilcolgan village.
In Kilcolgan, pass petrol station on RHS, and take next right turn signposted Kinvara.
Follow road for approx 10 miles into Kinvara.


Directions from Kinvara. (5 miles [8 Km] to house)
From Galway direction go into Kinvara village.
Take first left (At Sexton’s pub, also called Downtown pub)
After 30 meters take right fork.
Continue straight for 2 miles [3 Km]. Go straight through crooked cross roads.
50 metres after cross roads take next right.
(You may see small signs for "Natural stone products".)
Follow narrow twisty winding road for 2 miles [3 Km]. At crossroads take right.
(ignoring signs to "Natural stone products").
Continue on a half mile [1 Km]. Centre is on left about 300 metres before T junction.
(Its the second house on the left after crossroads).
If you go too far you will reach a T junction.

Directions from Dublin
Take N6 Galway road sometimes signed "The West".
Go through Ballinasloe and on to Loughrea.
At end of main street, take left turn to Gort.
When arrive in Gort,
take right at T junction and continue down the main street to the square.

Directions from Gort ( 6 miles [9 Km] to house)
Coming into Gort from Limerick direction, (or from Loughrea) follow main road,
down the main street until you come to the square.
When you reach the square, turn left.
Approx half mile, take right signposted Kinvara (opposite SuperValue Supermarket).
After 1 mile [1.5 Km], take right signposted Kinvara

After 1.5 miles [2.5 Km] take right at Tirnevin church signposted Kinvara [I hear the sign has been removed]. Its the road right alongside the side of the church.
(Ignore two turns to the left.)
After 1.5 miles [2.5 Km] reach fork and the right fork is signposted Kinvara
and the left fork has no sign.
Take the left fork. (You may see a small sign for "Natural stone products").
Follow straight road for approx 1.5 miles [2.5 Km], straight through cross roads,
house is .5 mile [1 Km] after cross roads on LHS.
(Its the second house on LHS after the crossroads).

If you go too far you will hit T junction.

Directions from Ballyvaughan
From Ballyvaughan take right turn at Bell Harbour (short cut over hills)
Take left at T junction.

Continue on road for approx 3 miles.
Come down steep hill (Abbey hill) to junction of 4 roads.
Take first road on right (sharp turn) along New Line.
Continue for approx 3 miles.
(Straight through cross roads which has left turn to Kinvara).
Approx 1 mile after this cross roads, Take left turn signposted Gort.
House is 3rd house on right.

Entrance to the centre (sign is in the shape of a Sun)
Low stone wall (3 foot high and approx 100 foot long) with two natural Burren rock
piers either side of a cattle grid.
Stone wall is back from the road about 15 foot,
leaving room for cars to park outside if car park is full.

There is a 7 foot high standing stone just inside the gate posts on the rhs,
with "Lig do Scith" on it.
You can hardly see the house behind the trees from the entrance.



Please drive in over cattle grid, and take the left marked "Car Park"
and park car neatly to allow others room to turn easily.
