You may get to the centre by train or by bus, and then catch a reduced fare taxi direct to the centre.

From Dublin
Take Galway train and change at Athenry to take train to Gort. ( 6 miles from centre. See link below for Taxi numbers in Gort)
Check timetable for the date you will be travelling. However, May 2010 in general departs Dublin Hueston station 14:30 and arrives Gort 18:15. Later train departs Dublin Hueston 15:25 arrives Gort 19:11

Do not get a bus to Kinvara.Its best to get a bus to Gort as it it easy to get a taxi from Gort. There are no reliable taxis in Kinvara.
