Description of course

This weekend course will include Anusara inspired classes by Tahnee Fournier.

The goal of this Anusara residential weekend is to introduce you to Anusara yoga so that you can continue on your own at home.

There will also be an outdoor trip into the Burren on Saturday.

Cost of the course

Reduced to €300 (€280 unwaged) and includes accommodation and vegetarian meals.

The food is cooked by Paddi the gourmet vegetarian chef who ran Seventh Heaven the well known restuarant in Galway city.

A single room costs €60 extra.

Additional nights stay at the centre

To avail of a cheaper flight you may like to stay an extra night or two. Cost is €35 per night. No meals included.

These classes are suitable for all levels, from beginners to advanced.

Anusara retreat on west coast of Ireland

Anusara Yoga is a new paradigm of hatha yoga in which the art of the human spirit powerfully blends with the science of biomechanics. It is a spiritually uplifting and therapeutic system of yoga that integrates Universal Principles of Alignment and inner body awareness with a celebration of the heart.

This Anusara weekend is one of the few Anusara residential yoga retreats in Ireland. But i am sure it will be the first of many more at Burren Yoga.

During this week-end retreat, you will learn the elegant Universal Principles of Alignment that provide safe, precise and effective instructions allowing each pose to blossom fully.

Through Tahnee's warmth and humor, you will be guided through a wide range of transformational postures that will increase your strength, vitality, flexibility and joy.

Reconnect to your innate diversity and inner radiance in this fun-filled and energizing workshop.

These classes are suitable for all levels, from beginners to advanced.

Friday Night 9.15 pm-10.15pm ‘Release’

Enjoy a deep and relaxing practice to help you unwind the week and prepare you for a blissful sleep.

Saturday morning 8:30am – 10:00am ‘Be your Brightest ’

An uplifting class that focuses on opening up the chest, shoulders, and hips for the brightest backbends!

Saturday afternoon 4:30pm – 6:00pm ‘Turn Inwards to Peace ’

Turn Inwards to Peace – a calming class with hip-openers, twists and forward bends that will leave you feeling refreshed and renewed.

Sunday morning 8:00am – 10:00am ‘The Lila (play) of Life ’

A unique class, 2hrs in length to encourage a playfulness in the practice, standing poses and possibly some inversions to ensure some giggles and a deeper shift into fun.

Sunday mid-day 11:45am – 1:00pm ‘Contemplate, journal and reflect’

This special class will finish your rejuvinating week-end with time for reflection, questions and answers and journaling that will ensure you have touched the sacred within you.

A great opportunity to reflect inwards and finish off your stay at the Burren and keep you inspired till your next visit!

Instructor

Tahnee Fournier, originally from Canada, is an Anusara-Inspired™ teacher who is full of life and brings yoga to her everyday life.

She discovered yoga in 1999 and has been studying Anusara yoga since 2000;

She realized Yoga was her calling with its mind/body awareness and relocated to Los Angeles to study.

Tahnee has completed 6 teacher trainings, including Advanced Therapuetics in Anusara Yoga and logged hundreds of workshop hours, studying specifically under John Friend, founder of Anusara Yoga®.

Tahnee had the great honor to both host and assist John Friend, on his first successful visit to Ireland and is currently within the certification path of Anusara Yoga, considered to be the most professional and rigorous world-wide.

She enjoys Ayurvedic cookbooks, surfing in warm waters, jumping cheeky ponies over cross country courses, designing jewelry and spending time with her family exploring the Irish Culture and History.
