Ashtanga Vinyasa and Meditation

May 13th – 15th 2011

We have reduced the price of all our courses back to the 2007 prices

We realize that many people are having financial difficulties and now more than ever need to get away for a stress free weekend of yoga in the Burren.

Reduced to €300 (€280 unwaged)

Description of course

This course will include Ashtanga Vinyasa classes by Ciara Cronin and Meditation classes

This yoga is a challenging dynamic form of yoga where one works reasonably strongly with the physical body.

The goal of the course is to improve your Ashtanga practice so that you may practice at home after the course. And to show you modifications of postures to be more suitable for your body.

And also introduce you to meditation so that you can continue on your own at home.

There will also be an outdoor trip into the Burren on Saturday.

Cost of the course

The cost of the course is Reduced to €300 (€280 unwaged) and includes accommodation and vegetarian meals.

For unwaged, please read Unwaged further discounts

The food is cooked by Paddi the gourmet vegetarian chef who ran Seventh Heaven the well known restaurant in Galway city.

A single room costs €60 extra.

Additional nights stay at the centre

To avail of a cheaper flight you may like to stay an extra night or two. Cost is €35 per night. No meals included.

Who is the course suitable for

Suitable for beginners to intermediate, but one should be reasonably fit, as the Asthanga Vinyasa yoga is quite dynamic.

Instructor

Ciara Cronin is a yoga teacher and also a qualified holistic therapist. She is a very dedicated practitioner of Astanga and goes to many workshops and practices daily.

She has studied ashtanga yoga with Pattabhi Jois, Graham Northfield, Chuck Miller and Shiva Rea, among others.

Ciara brings her broad experience of meditation and holistic health to her teaching style; focusing on attention to form, integration of breath and cultivation of awareness.

Creating a supportive environment and taking to heart each student’s experience, Ciara addresses individual needs and encourages a deep and focused practice in class.

Attention is directed to building core strength and proper alignment while cultivating and sustaining an inner calm.

Ciara used to be the health editor of Source, Ireland’s first alternative lifestyle magazine and has written holistic health columns for several national newspapers.
