October 26th - 29th 2007 Bank Holiday Yoga and Ayurvedic weekend
Hatha yoga weekend
Coming up we have a very experienced teacher giving a Hatha Yoga weekend course. Details at
Hatha yoga meditation with Niamh Jones 5
Description of course
Ayurveda is a system of natural medicine which teaches us how to live in a way that maximises our health and enjoyment of life. Most recommendations are a normal part of daily living, how to eat, exercise, communicate, relax and sleep.
Over the weekend there will be talks on the fundamentals of Ayurvedic philosophy and the three Constitutional Types (Vata/Pitta/Kapha), Ayurvedic nutrition and a hands-on Ayurvedic cooking workshop. You will learn to identify your own constitution and estimate that of those around you.
The will also be 2 daily sessions of Invigourating Yoga and Pranayama and organised walks/sightseeing in the Burren.
According to Ayurveda knowledge, the seasons, like the times of day, are characterized by cycles of Vata, Pitta and Kapha.
Maintaining good health during all four seasons requires living in harmony with these natural cycles, continually adjusting to the changes in the outer environment through the food we choose to eat , the type and ammount of exercise we do , the clothes we wear, and so on.
The suggestions in this course will help you be at your best during the Autumn and Winter seasons.
During this long weekend you will discover your Mental and Physiological Type and incorporate a simple Daily Routine of Yoga and Seasonal Cooking into your new Healthy Life style!!.
The aim of the course is to introduce to you the wisdom of Ayurveda, an ancient traditional system of medicine from India, enabling you to take what you have learned and make simple changes that will enhance the quality of your life in more ways than one.
The weekend will revitalising, relaxing and fun.
Cost of Course
The course costs €380 euro including accommodation and scrumptious Ayurvedic vegetarian food
A single room costs 70 euro extra
