Instructor
Cormac Lennon is in his mid forties, and teaches Satyananda yoga in Dublin.

Cormac has been teaching Satyananda Yoga for 10 years. He spent 1 year in Bihar School of Yoga studying Yoga under the guidance of Swamiji Niranjan during 2001 and 2002 in India and was deeply influenced by the Satyananda tradition.

Cormac teaches as a full time professional Yoga tutor. He has also been involved in the treatment of addiction with Yoga for 10 years and also works with students who are physically challenged .

Yoga has many facets and during the weekend he will be introducing different aspects of Yoga including Dharana , Mantra , Ajapa japa and Yoga Nidra along with teaching a routine for Well Being.

It will be a excellent opportunity for students to go deeper in to their experience of Yoga.

Cormac first exposure to yoga was through reading about it, and then practicing it at home each day. As he felt the benefits very quickly, he continued to practice on his own relying on guidance from yoga books.

When Cormac finally went to a Hatha yoga class years later, he started with gentle yoga and stayed with this for some time.
Cormac then began practicing with Tom Larkin who was mainly influenced by Satyananda yoga and Cormac was inspired to follow up on Satyananda Yoga which is sometimes referred to as the Bihar School of Yoga.

He also practiced Iyengar yoga, but prefers Satyananda yoga as he feels a strong connection with this tradition.

Cormac’s classes include Asana (mainly from the Satyananda yoga tradition) and also relaxation and Meditation. Cormac weighs up the level of the students in each class, before he decides on what is best to teach them based on where they are at.

He also introduces some Yoga Philosophy including information on Yamas and Niyamas as this helps give the yoga practitioners an overview of the richness of the whole yoga tradition.
Cormac feels that Meditation is essential for today’s living and also teaches his Yoga classes so that they naturally lead to meditation. In our Meditation we develop a greater awareness and bring this into all areas of our lives.

Cormac believes that the more people practicing the better for us all... and hopes that all his students are inspired by this weekend course and continue with their own yoga and meditation practice after the weekend.
The weekend course will be suited to experienced students and beginners alike.
