Special Womens Retreat of Yoga
Step out of your role as wife, mother, daughter, sister, partner or business woman and replenish your spirit.
This retreat brings women of all ages together to create the warmth and support of a caring community based around a daily yoga practice and a sense of nurturing the feminine in us all.
By immersing ourselves in yoga, meditation, community, and the beauty of the Burren we will awaken our bodies, quiet our minds and come home to our hearts — where true insight and compassion flourish. You will leave feeling full, refreshed and ready to fill your daily life with positive change.
About the Retreat
The morning yoga classes will be a Hatha-based dynamic practice that will both strengthen and soften, allowing us to work within our own capacity, giving you insight to your true nature and the natural intelligence of your own body.
In the afternoon sessions there will be a variety of practices—from restorative yoga, special yoga techniques classes, breathwork , group sharing, and other practices that truly allow us to be in tune with the cyclical nature of our bodies and allow for the connection and growth that occur when women come together in a retreat setting.
The evening yoga sessions will allow us to have quiet time for sitting meditation, Yoga Nidra and quiet reflection.
All levels of students are warmly welcome, including those with no previous yoga experience. It is an opportunity to get grounded, back to basics and reconnected with your true self.
There will be plenty of outdoor activites in the Burren and surrounding areas.
And the usual amazing vegetarian meals with Paddi the chef.
Cost of the course
The cost of the course is €730 and includes accommodation and vegetarian meals.
The food is cooked by Paddi the gourmet vegetarian chef who ran Seventh Heaven the well known restuarant in Galway city.
A single room costs €120 extra.
We eat lunch out locally and you will need to pay for this yourself.
Prices to attend part of a courseAdditional nights stay at the centre
To avail of a cheaper flight you may like to stay an extra night or two. Cost is €35 per night. No meals included.
Availability of staying an extra night will only be known 1 week before the course start date, and will depend on the numbers attending the previous weeks course.
If the centre is full, you could always stay that night in Kinvara village with one of the many b&b’s.

This week is suitable to any level.
Instructors
Debbie Corradino is originally from Boulder, Colorado and has studied with many teachers in various countries including 4 years with Richard Freeman which is a world renowned ashtanga teacher.

Debbie first came to yoga in 1994 as a means to unwind from an active lifestyle. An avid skier and mountain biker, she was fulfilled by the physically challenging practice of Ashtanga yoga and this was her primary practice for many years.

Over the years as her yoga practice began to evolve, she began to yearn for different approaches to asana. She has been inspired by the inner-body, exploratory approach to yoga of Barbara Benagh; and the Hatha Yoga and Pranayama teachings of Emil Wendel and Clive Sheridan.
Which has ultimately led her to develop a
slower, contemplative approach to her own daily practice and teaching which is grounded in structure and alignment with an
emphasis on breath awareness. Nowadays her approach is more gentle than ashtanga, and she brings in a nice fun atmosphere into her classes.
The classes are
fun and challenging with modifications to suit all abilities and body types.

The classes include elements of vinyasa, alignment, breathwork and meditative awareness.
Debbie believes that a willingness to trust in the practice, allowing what emerges from a natural curiosity and patient inquiry is where we find true yoga.
"Yoga is ultimately about freedom, allowing for the freedom to change your point of view, and move beyond old patterns in the body and mind" - Debbie
