Cost of course and drop in classes

8 week course costs 90 euros, and when you book you are guaranteed a place on all 8 of those classes.

Drop in classes cost 16 euors per class. People signed up for the full course get preference to places in each class.

Dave began meditating in 1978 and began practising Yoga in 1989 with the Galway school of Yoga and Meditation which is Satyananda based.

In 1999 he completed the 2-year Satyananda yoga teacher training with Shradhmurti and Chetanmurti in the Galway school of Yoga and Meditation. He has attended numberous workshops since then (too many to mention) with teachers of many traditions from all over the world.



His classes begin with very gentle loosening up postures which help prepare the body for the stronger postures which are introduced after a number of months. He introduces Pranayama right from day one, and a large emphasis is placed on the awareness of the practitioner rather than their physical ability.

His experience with Iyengar and Astanga yoga bring a detailed approach to correct alignment of the body in order to assume the posture while respecting the limits of one's body.

His teaching of meditation is very clear and understandable for beginners and for advanced meditators alike.

The meditation technique is breath focus and mindfulness.

As the course progresses, he gives less and less instructions, so that one is able to follow the practice without any guidance at the end of the course.



Satyananda yoga yoga class Level 1

Monday 6:30 - 8:00 PM Instructor: Dave Brocklebank

Cost: €90 for 8 weeks. Begins Monday 30th March.
Suitable for people who may have bad backs, may be pregnant, or may be quite unfit. Very gentle yoga. Ideal for improving flexibility, improving posture, breathing and relaxation.
Ideal for relaxation and stress reduction.
Gentle toning, stretching.

Satyananda yoga yoga class Level 2

Monday 8:00 - 9:30 PM Dave Brocklebank

Cost: €90 for 8 weeks. Begins Monday 30th March.
Suitable for younger people who may be quite fit, or may have already had some other yoga experience.
Good for flexibility and toning, but relatievly gentle class.
Ideal for relaxation and stress reduction.


Satyananda yoga yoga class Level 3

Wednesday 6:30 - 8:00 PM Instructor: Dave Brocklebank

Cost: €90 for 8 weeks. Begins Wednesday 1st April.
Practicing with inner awareness, letting go of thoughts, refining the breath, Yoga Nidra.
Working with sequence Salutation to the Sun and stronger postures. Suitable for younger people or if you have previous experience.
Good for relaxation, toning, improving flexibility and improving sense of well being.

Satyananda yoga yoga class Level 4

Wednesday 8:00 - 9:30 PM Instructor: Dave Brocklebank

Cost: €90 for 8 weeks. Begins Wednesday 1st April.
Assumes you already know the sequence salutation to the sun already. Some stronger postures, deepening inner awareness, energising Bhastrika breath, Chakra awareness, Meditation.
Suitable for those who have completed Level 3 previously.

Ashtanga 1 yoga class

Tuesday 6:30 - 8:00 PM Instructor: Dave Brocklebank

Cost: €90 for 8 weeks. Begins Tuesday 31st March.
Ashtanga beginners class.
Reasonably strong physical yoga in a flowing sequence.
There is breath awareness and loosening postures before beginning the ashtanga sequence.


Suitbale for beginners to Ashtanga yoga.

You need to be reasonably fit for this form of yoga, and be prepared to work strongly with the physical body.

Ashtanga 2 yoga class

Tuesday 8:00 - 9:30 PM Instructor: Dave Brocklebank

Cost: €90 for 8 weeks. Begins Tuesday 31st March.
Ashtanga class for people who have practiced Ashtanga before
Reasonably strong physical yoga in a flowing sequence.
There is breath awareness and loosening postures before beginning the ashtanga sequence.

Only suitable for those who have completed Ashtanga 1 class or who know the Ashtanga sequence from classes elsewhere.

Iyengar style yoga class

Thursday 7:30 - 9:00 PM Instructor: Aileen

Cost: €110 for 10 weeks. Begins Thursday 22nd January.
This beginner’s course is an eight week Iyengar style yoga course taught through Iyengar based style. The class introduces yoga postures, correct alignment whilst giving an intense work out to the body. You will learn the fundamentals of yoga, strengthen and tone the body, and revitalize the mind.

Suitable for beginners.

Pilates toning class

Thursday 6:45 - 7:45 PM Instructor: Aileen

Cost: €90 for 8 weeks. Begins Thursday 2nd April.
This beginner’s course is an 8 week Pilates course designed to teach you the Pilates method of toning the body, strengthening the inner core, toning and flattening the stomach, and improving flexibility and fitness.

Suitable for beginners.

Cost: €90 for 8 weeks. Begins Thursday 2nd April.
