Yoga in Europe outside Ireland and UK

There are many yoga retreats and meditation centres in Europe. In chosing a retreat, try to find out the calibre of the teachers who teach at the centre, what other activities they offer outside the yoga classes, and whether you are left on your own to decide what to do between classes or are there any organised activities to take part in as part of the group.

And also inquire about the food whether it is vegetarian, and whether the food is quite basic or professionally prepared.

Many courses and centres in Europe teach the very essence of yoga, using the best of yoga teachers, some who come from Europe, some from the States and some from India.

Having said that, one should check around with various yoga teachers and others 'in the know' in order to find out how good the centre is whether it is in Europe or India or anywhere else.
