Teachers Gabi Gilleeson & Dave Brocklebank. This course is suitable for beginners or those who would prefer a more gentle yoga than Ashtanga. This Yoga is a more traditional form and includes breathing practice, body awareness, inner awareness, mind & body relaxation techniques and also meditational techniques.
Participants travelled from various parts of the country ans one flew in from England for this gentle Yoga weekend.
Marie and Fiona from Dublin, Sile from County Laois, Sharon & Eileen from Tullamore, Tony from London, and Catherine from The Curragh.
Even though this was a gentle Yoga weekend (compared to the Ashtanga weekends) all of the participants felt that they were stretched and had worked hard for the weekend. The classes included many relaxation parts and also alot of breathwork and meditational sessions.

Sitting for meditation can be difficult even for seasoned Yoga practitioners. Some of our group inlcuded beginners and near beginners, so the sitting sessions were kept quite short. There were also options given to sit with one's back to the wall if one's back felt tired.

After a good hard's class of asanas and sitting practice for meditation, it is always great to enjoy the deep relaxation and rejouvination of a Yoga Nidra guided session.

The weather was forecast pretty bad but as usual we ignored the forecast and waited to see what Saturday morning would bring. We awoke at at about 6:30 AM to torrential rain...... but by the time we finished the 7:00 to 8:00 Breath and Meditation class and the 8:15 - 10:15 Asana and Yoga Nidra class and had finished our 10:30 brunch the clouds cleared and we all headed off for a walk by Molloughmore to take in some of the beauty of the Burren.
One can never tell what is going to happen in life..... definitely not what the weather is going to bring in the Burren!

And one can never tell what is going to come up in conversations as one walks across the unique Burren Rock beneath one's feet.

And there was enough time for a short stroll around Kinvara quayside and small picturesque village before heading back to the centre for our afternoon's class with Gabi.

Thanks to Gabi and everyone who brought such good energies and enthusiasm to the course. Hope you like the photos... ;-)
It couldn't pass but to thank Patti again for her amazing vegetarian meals which usually left us feeling that we had eaten just a little more than we indended to ..... but that we were still quite glad that we had. What was that in the oranged flavour type of carrot cake????? Hey Patti ? ;-)

Keep up the daily practice..... and
feel the effects....
