Most of the Pilates weekends are aimed to introdcue Pilates to beginners so that they can practice the exercises at home after the course.
This group was no exception and all were complete beginners to Pilates.

Fiona demonstrated the postures while encouraging and guiding the group to follow.

Fiona normally teaches Pilates in Galway city, and is very professional in her teaching and caring in how she helps people with the exercises.

The exercises can be performed at 3 different levels.
In this exercise level 1 allows the person keep one foot on the floor while the other one performs the movement.
Level 2 uses arm movements as well as the leg.
And level 3 requires full coordiantion of both arms and both legs.

These postures are excellent at toning the tummy and strengthening the back.

And although this was a cold winter's day, we still wrapped up and went for a refreshing walk by the sea.
