And a well deserved Shavasana to finish.

The class practices Trikonasana

And a nice goodbye photo where we are joined by Paddi.

And then a new group arrives for another Ashtanga and Meditation week with Granville.

And another new set of adventures begins.

Who needs a pint when one has such exhilarating yoga followed by outdoor activities one after the other.

The two girls from Finland chat away in Finish and enjoy their first trip to Ireland.

Siobhan and Fiona were here last year for the Mid Summer yoga party and this year have come back to experience one of our 7 day retreats during the summer.

And this is most certainly a retreat away from the usual world. The peace and tranquility of the Burren allow us to also settle into a space of inner quiet, and experience the inner joy which manefests with the help of some invigourating yoga, the breathtaking scenery and adventures in Nature.

This tried and tested magic ingredients at the Burren Yoga and Meditation Centre help make the centre so popular with beginners to yoga as well as experienced and advanced practitioners.

And it always nice to see the familiar faces as they return year after year, sometimes a few times within the same year.

And its great to see how the regular practice of yoga and meditation help people grow both in peace of mind and maturity of spirit, as well as improving health and general sense of well being.

Modern day yoga practitioners practice yoga for many different reasons.
Not everyone sets out to attain enlightenment.
Some take the first steps on the path because it feels GREAT!

And as one practices, the benefits begin to unfold....

on many many different levels.

One finds on these courses that one meets very interesting people. People who are more positive than the avarage person, people who are often good fun, willing to explore and live life to the full.

And very often new friendships last well after the courses complete with people staying in contact by email, phone, sometimes meeting up, and very often returning again for more adventures at the Bureen Yoga and Meditation Centre.

Granville assists those who are ready for drop backs, where one drops back from a standing position inot a full backbend, and then one springs up from the backbend to a standing position.

And very often Granville will work with preparation before attempting to

help the person perform the full drop back.

Granville works with each person's ability, and rather than trying to push the person inot the perfect posture he tries to get the person to work on the best improvement they should work on at their current stage of practice.

And as each person brings their ashtanga sequence to a close,

we eventually come to sitting practice of pranayama

and finally a well earned relaxation in Shavasana.

And after this the day is just starting!
Breakfast soon, and then another outdoor advanture in the Burren.
I wonder what options Dave has lined up for the group today?
hmmmm i quite fancy taking it easy on the beach... and then .....
