Burren Yoga and Meditation Centre, Ireland
Burren Yoga and Meditation Centre is a beautiful yoga and meditation retreat
centre located on the West coast of Ireland.
Yoga holidays and Yoga retreats
These weekend and weeklong courses and retreats run all year round.
Dave invites the best of yoga teachers from around the world and Ireland
to teach the courses at the centre. We have all types of yoga holidays and retreats
including Ashtanga, Iyengar, Bikram, Kundalini, Satyananda, Hatha, Partner, Vinyasa
flow, Anusara and Jivamukti yoga. We have had teachers from Kripalu in the US to various ashrams in India.
There are also residential vacations in Detox, Buddhist teachings and vegetarian cooking.
Most of our guests come from Ireland, UK, Europe and some from further afield for their vacations.
Some guests who used to go to Health Spas and Pamper Centres, now prefer to return to us where they learn many yoga asanas and breathing practices they can use at home in their daily lives to maintain their fitness and peace of mind.

Ashtanga, Iyengar, Bikram, Hatha, Kundalini, Vinyasa flow, Hot yoga
Some of the yoga holidays and yoga retreats are suitable for beginners, some for
advanced, and some are mixed level.
Beginners yoga and advanced
In general
Ashtanga is a dynamic, flowing yoga and ideal for those who are
looking for a physical practice. Astanga is great for fitness, toning the body and is very energizing.
Iyengar is also physical, but slower, form of yoga. It emphasises correct
alignment of the body within the usual classical postures. Blocks, blankets and
belts may be used.
Satyananda yoga is a more traditional form of yoga. It begins with gentle
postures suitable for complete beginners, and includes
breathing practices, relaxation and mind focusing techniques.
Hatha is reasonably gentle, although you will also be challenged with stretching and some vinyasa flow exerices. There is also breathwork, relaxation and meditation.
Kundalini yoga works with internal energies and chakras; it features many
forms of visualisation and meditation techniques including walking meditations.
Postures are generally quite gentle and are suitable for all levels of fitness.
Bikram is an exhilarating hot yoga workout in a heated room where toxins are sweated
out through dynamic yoga style postures. It is an excellent practice for toning,
losing weight, improving flexibility.
Fitness Vacation, Vegetarian food, Retreat Holiday in Ireland
The Burren Yoga and Meditation Centre is a real find. The atmosphere is warm,
welcoming and fun. I felt rejuvenated after a weekend of excellent yoga, wholesome

All our delicious food is vegetarian and is prepared by Paddi, the renowned gourmet
chef, who ran Seventh Heaven restaurant in Galway city for over 12 years.
The vegetarian meals constantly amaze and delight all our visitors. The meals
are of restaurant standard and always follow the yogic and 'fresh is best' principles.
We are able to cater for most dietary requirements if you let us know in advance. Our approach is overall holistic, and the atmosphere is warm, friendly and relaxed.
