Intermediate Ashtanga Yoga
Granville Cousins' teaching is based on many years of both his own practice and his long teaching experience.

This class happened to be quite experienced in Ashtanga yoga and the pace of this course was quite high.



Every second afternoon, Granville taught an asana workshop to help improve the postures we were practicing in the Ashtanga continuous flowing sequence.



Sometimes we partnered off with another person to help improve our stretches.

And sometimes we just looked at the world upside-down.



In some of the afternoon sessions, Granville used his extensive Iyengar experience to show us how to improve and perfect postures, and how to help each other go deeper into the postures.



During the Ashtanga classes, Granville moved around the class, improving a posture here and there, straightening one person's alignment, lending a helping hand to go deeper into stretches.



And sometimes we took a break as Granville demonstrated how to go deeper into some postures, showing us the common mistakes that people make, and also how to oversome these.



And no fear of heights, Granville balances on top of the huge dolmen which stands outside the yoga centre.



Granville guides Catherine deeper into this forward bend.



And also demonstrates postures.....



And allows himself to be taken deeper by having his arms drawn dwon to the floor.



As usual, we head out into the hills for a hill walk.



So that's Mulloughmore.... and we are going to climb to the top of that ?



While we are walking, some of the group take the opportuity to talk to Granville.



And then its back to the yoga room for some more adjustments by Granville.
