    Methods of payment

You can select whichever method of payment best suits your needs.

    Easiest and most flexible method

The easiest and most flexible method is to pay with cash when you arrive.

We have reduced our retreat prices to those of 2007 and we are trying to maintain these reductions despite the continuing increasing cost in food stuffs, organic vegetables, heating oil and most of our other expenses to maintain the yoga centre.

We try to minimise bank charges and in order to do this, we ask you to pay in cash when you arrive at the centre.

When you make your booking you phone us with your credit card details and we simply check the validity of your credit card.  We don’t debit your card unless you cancel, and you simply pay the full retreat fee in cash on arrival at the centre.

If you have to cancel you pay the cancellation fee using your credit card.

If you prefer to book with a debit card, we debit your card for 1/3 the retreat fee when you book (+5% to cover the bank charges), and you pay the remaining 2/3 in cash when you get to the centre.

Credit card bookings from abroad are debited for €5, and the remaining retreat fee paid in cash when you arrive.

Added benefits of booking with credit card and paying in cash when you arrive

Firstly this saves you money in that all you pay is the normal retreat fee and do not incur any bank charges.

Secondly you do not need to pay any money upfront when you are making your booking, and this gives you time to save over the coming weeks in order to pay for the retreat.

Thirdly if you need to cancel or transfer your booking to another retreat, there are no additional handling charges in addition to the normal fees outlined at the cancellation policy.

    Alternative methods of payment

However if you prefer not to carry cash with you while you are travelling you may prefer to pay the bank charges yourself and to pay the full retreat fee at the time you make your booking with either

    • bank transfer
    • paypal
    • credit card, debit card or laser
    • cheque or postal order
    • last minute payment when you arrive with postal order or credit card

Handling charges and implications of alternative methods of payment

You may decide that you prefer not to pay in cash, and may pay by any of the other methods below.  Please read about the handling charges and also implications if you have to cancel your booking.

Please note that these methods of payments may only be used when you book a retreat that is at least 2 weeks away.

    Bank Transfer

If travelling from overseas, you may prefer to pay by bank transfer and this probably will incur the least amount of bank charges for you.  We don’t charge any additional handling fee to look after this for you.

When you book your retreat, you need to transfer the full retreat fee to the Burren Yoga and Meditation Centre bank account.  You should ensure that you pay for all the necessary bank charges at your end, so that the full retreat fee is paid into our account.  We will hold your booking for 3 working days which it takes for the banks to transfer the retreat fee.

If you cancel your booking, you are still entitled to any refund as outlined within the normal cancellation policy with the addition of €50 handling charge for the additional work needed to keep track of bank transfer payments and reversal of same.

    Paypal

You may pay the full retreat fee at the time you book using Paypal.  We will charge you 5% in order to cover the Paypal charges.

If you cancel your booking, you are still entitled to any refund as outlined within the normal cancellation policy with the addition of €50 handling charge for the additional work needed to keep track of paypal payments and reversal of same.

Credit card, Debit card or Laser

You may pay the full retreat fee at the time you book using a Visa, Master or Laser card.  We will charge you 5% in order to cover the bank charges.

If you cancel your booking, you are still entitled to any refund as outlined within the normal cancellation policy with the addition of €50 handling charge for the additional work needed to keep track of bank credit card payments and reversal of same.

    Cheque or Postal order

You may pay the full retreat fee at the time you book by posting us a cheque or postal order.  We don’t charge any additional handling fee to look after this for you.

When you book your retreat, you need to post your cheque or postal order to us.   We will hold your booking for 3 working days to give time for your letter to arrive to us in the post.

If you cancel your booking, you are still entitled to any refund as outlined within the normal cancellation policy with the addition of €50 handling charge for the additional work needed to keep track of bank records of cheque payments and reversal of same.

Last minute payment when you arrive with postal order or credit card

If you forget to bring the cash with you to pay your retreat fee when you arrive, you can pay with either credit or debit card, or postal order.

We will charge you 5%  for any last minute postal order payments in order to cover our additional handling charges.

We will charge you 10%  for any last minute credit card payments in order to cover the bank charges and our additional handling charges.

Apologies we don’t accept payment by cheque when you arrive due to previous problems with cheques.
