Methods of payment

You can select whichever method of payment best suits your needs.

Easiest and most flexible method

If you live within Southern Ireland, the easiest and most flexible method is to book using credit card and pay the retreat fee when you arrive.

If you live outside southern Ireland, please see next section “Alternative methods of payment”.

If you prefer to book with a debit card, we debit your card for 1/3 the retreat fee when you book (+€10 weekend booking fee or €15 week), and you pay the remaining 2/3 when you get to the centre.

 

Alternative methods of payment

You may book a retreat by paying 1/3 of the retreat fee at the time of booking, and the remainder 1 month before the retreat start date. Or you may pay the full retreat fee at the time of booking.

  • bank transfer
  • paypal
  • credit card, debit card or laser
  • cheque or postal order
  • last minute payment when you arrive with postal order or credit card

The cheapest and easiest method is to use the company TransferWise to make the bank transfer. The process is easy to use, and their fees are much lower than the banks.

When you fill in your booking form, and select the payment type on your booking form as ‘bank transfer’, I will email you our bank details and a link to TransferWise

Handling charges and implications of alternative methods of payment

Please note that these methods of payments may only be used when you book a retreat that is at least 2 weeks away.

Bank Transfer

If travelling from overseas, you pay the retreat fee using TransferWise. They do charge a small fee, but it is much less than the banks, and the process is much easier.

When you book your retreat, you need to transfer the 1/3 of the retreat fee to the Burren Yoga and Meditation Centre bank account.  And the remainder 1 month before the start date. You should ensure that you pay for all the necessary bank charges at your end, so that the full retreat fee is paid into our account.  We will hold your booking for 3 working days which it takes for the banks to transfer the retreat fee.

If you cancel your booking, you are still entitled to any refund as outlined within the normal cancellation policy with the addition of €50 handling charge for the additional work needed to keep track of bank transfer payments and reversal of same.

Paypal

You may pay the full retreat fee at the time you book using Paypal.  We will charge you 5% in order to cover the Paypal charges.

If you cancel your booking, you are still entitled to any refund as outlined within the normal cancellation policy with the addition of €50 handling charge for the additional work needed to keep track of paypal payments and reversal of same.

Credit card, Debit card or Laser

You may pay the 1/3 of the retreat fee at the time you book using a Visa, Master or Laser card.  And the remainder 1 month before the start date. (+€10 weekend booking fee or €15 week)

If you cancel your booking, you are still entitled to any refund as outlined within the normal cancellation policy with the addition of €50 handling charge for the additional work needed to keep track of bank credit card payments and reversal of same.

Cheque or Postal order

You may pay the full retreat fee at the time you book by posting us a cheque or postal order.  There is a €25 administration fee for this method of payment.

When you book your retreat, you need to post your cheque or postal order to us.   We will hold your booking for 3 working days to give time for your letter to arrive to us in the post.

If you cancel your booking, you are still entitled to any refund as outlined within the normal cancellation policy with the addition of €50 handling charge for the additional work needed to keep track of bank records of cheque payments and reversal of same.

Payment when you arrive

Apologies we don’t accept payment by cheque when you arrive due to previous problems with cheques.

We accept payment by Visa or Mastercard or in Euros cash.
