    Vegetarian cooking course

    This course is given by Paddi who used to run Seventh Heaven restuarant in Galway. She now cooks full time for the Burren Yoga and Meditation Centre.


    Her fame has spread far and wide during the days of Seventh Heaven and now among the lucky yoga practitioners at Burren Yoga.

    The course costs 320 Euro and begins with dinner on Friday evening 7:00.

    Many different dishes to get the taste of what can be done.

    Breakfast will be juices, musli, home baked breads, yogurt, various spreads etc. and then you will have the cooking class and prepare the midday meal during the morning.

    Friday evening

    • Stuffed marrow
    • tomato & basil sauce
    • Lentil ,mushroom & tofu bake
    • Potato & bean salad
    • Mango & apple salad
    • Red cabbage salad with walnuts
    • Tossed green salad
    • Pear & apple crumble with homemade custard

    Saturday lunch

    • Fennel & sweet potato soup
    • Homemade brown bread
    • Hummus
    • Wraps filled with veg. & bean sprouts in a peanut sauce
    • Tossed salad with yogurt & mint dressing
    • Chocolate mint truffles

    Saturday evening

    • Cashew & walnut roast tomato ,cream & dill sauce
    • Potato dauphinois
    • Melon,tomato & mint salad
    • French bean,sweetcorn & tomato salad
    • Tossed green salad
    • Carrot & orange salad
    • Pears in red wine served with yogurt,cinnamon & honey

    Sunday Lunch

    • Vegetarian burritos
    • Salsa
    • Guacamole
    • Tzatziki
    • Beetroot & apple salad

    Vegetarian recipes

    You will be given a booklet with all the vegetarian recipes used on the weekend and you may add your own side notes inot this booklet as Paddi demonstrates and prepares the meals.

    Walks on vegetarian cookery course

    Depending on how the class goes there may be time for a walk before the meal.


    After the meal there will be a sea walk and/or a walk in the Burren hills.

    The afternoon’s cooking class will be to learn how to prepare the courses for the evening dinner. After dinner there is time for relaxation, time in the Burren and/or a visit to one of the local pubs.

    Sunday morning will again begin with juices & musli and then a class to prepare the meal for midday.
