Summary of Iyengar Yoga and Meditation weekend retreat
Spend a weekend with very experienced Iyengar yoga teacher Jenny Carson and experience the precision of Iyengar yoga asana classes carefully planned so that you understand the foundations of the postures before moving on to more challenging poses.
Jenny has also studied meditation with the FWBO (friends of the western Buddhist order) and teaches several meditation techniques.
This Iyengar and meditation retreat consists of an inviting and uplifting timetable over the weekend of
- Thoughtfully planned Iyengar yoga classes by very experienced yoga and meditation teacher Jenny Carson
- introduction to meditation and deepening of your practice
- breathing practices and breath awareness
- restorative postures and use of props
- delicious vegetarian meals
- comfortable accommodation at the centre
- walks in the Burren on Saturday with an experienced guide
- sample local cuisine at one of the local restaurants or cafes
- enjoy meeting like minded people in this relaxed friendly environment

Iyengar yoga instructor Bio Jenny Carson
Jenny Carson is a very experienced Iyengar yoga teacher and has been practising Iyengar Yoga for 30 years and teaching for 25.
Jenny is qualified to teach asanas from introductory to intermediate level, basic and simple pranayama and meditation techniques. She has regular classes in Chester and North Wales, runs Days of Yoga and runs a retreat in Southern Turkey.
Jenny studied meditation with the FWBO (friends of the western Buddhist order) teaching several meditation techniques.
Jenny is a qualified Seated Acupressure practitioner with the Shiatsu College Manchester and a Reiki master.

Learn lots of Iyengar yoga techniques and feel energised and refreshed with Jenny
Who this Iyengar and meditation weekend retreat is suitable for
Suitable for complete beginners to yoga and also intermediate Iyengar yoga students.
All ages and all levels of fitness are welcome.
Jenny will give variations so everyone works at their own level.
This weekend will include asana classes, building on basic asanas working up to intermediate asanas, an introduction to meditation and pranayama with each session finishing in deep relaxation.
Jenny will guide and instruct you at the level you are, encouraging a greater understanding of your yoga to deepen your practice with clear instruction and demonstration.
This retreat will be an opportunity for those who attend to experience Iyengar yoga taught by a very experienced teacher.
There will be ample time to delve deeper into this art, developing ones understanding of their yoga and connecting with your inner self. Taking away a deep feeling of well being created by your efforts and practice.
There will be an opportunity to embark on the next rung of yoga in guided pranayama. And also to learn a meditation technique which you can continue at home after the weekend.
This weekend is for all those who wish to experience Iyengar yoga from a very experienced teacher. Jenny will have just returned from attending the Iyengar Yoga Convention in Cambridge with Rajiv Metta ( a senior teaching in India) and will bring pockets of these classes with her!
There will also be meditation classes which will introduce Meditation to beginners and also deepen the practice of those familiar with meditation.
This is a great way to get to see some special places in the Burren well away from the usual tourist places.
Followed by lunch at one of the local restaurants or cafes which is a great way to sample the best of the locale cuisine in the Burren.
On Friday evening and Saturday evening Paddi who used to run Seventh Heaven restaurant for over 12 years, prepares a vegetarian dinner and many people have said they have not eaten vegetarian food as good as this at any restaurant.
