      This retreat will be a week of Energising and Increasing Vitality Kundalini Yoga and Gong Baths

      and consists of an inviting and uplifting timetable over the week of

    • Instructor Bio Sotantar Suraj

      Sotantar Suraj is originally from Spain and has been living in the US since the 1980s.

      He has practiced and studied yoga, meditation and healing since his childhood in Spain till present day.

      He was privileged to meet and receive teachings from the Master of Kundalini Yoga, Yogi Bhajan, by whom he received his spiritual name to meditate on his life path and destiny – Sotantar – meaning beyond the boundaries of time and space and one who lives for the light.

      Sotantar has been teaching Kundalini Yoga and also Gong Baths in Los Angeles California for the past 30 years and also provides teacher training in Kundalini Yoga and in Training with the Gong.

      His classes will guide you through the techniques of Kundalini yoga and are very powerful at removing energy blocks, and increasing vitality.

      You will leave here feeling ‘fully alive’ after your retreat.

      The goal of the course is to introduce you to Kundalini Yoga practice so that you may continue at home after the course.

      And also to experience the healing vibrations of gong meditations by Gong Master Sotantar.

      There will also be an organised outdoor trip into the Burren each day and some classes outdoors.

       

      Sotantar has structured the whole week of classes, and the first two days are where he teaches the foundation for the week, and then goes progressively deeper as the week progresses.

      He has balanced each day so there will be a variety of gentle practices, and also some level of challenging practices balanced by practices for relaxation and letting go.

       

      Some of the postures are quite gentle and encourage us to ‘let go’ of trying too hard physically, and to tune inwards to get in touch with how we are feeling right now in this present moment.

       

       

      As usual on our Yoga Retreats, we have daily guided outings into very special places in The Burren.

      These daily guided outings will include hill walks, walks by the sea, swimming in the ocean or the lake.

       

       

      One day we may do the boat trip to the Cliffs of Moher or surfing or paddle boarding on an optional basis.

       

       

      The boat trip is the most sectacular way to see the Cliffs of |Moher including the colones of birds nesting on the cliffs.

       

      Followed by lunch at one of the local restaurants or cafes which is a great way to sample the best of the locale cuisine in the Burren.

       

       

       

      Hearing the Gong in the Silence of The Burren is an amazing experience.

      Each evening Gearoid the cook who used to work in a Hare Krishna restaurant in New York, will prepare “with love” a delicious vegetarian dinner and many people have said they have not eaten vegetarian food as good as this at any restaurant.

       

       

      Gearoid’s food has to be experienced to be believed 😉

       

       

      Sotantar has been teaching the Gong for many years, and he uses the Gongs to bring deep inner release on inner conflicts and blockages.

       

      For those of you who may be interested in learning to use the Tibetan bowls, Sotantar can instruct and guide on how to learn to use these.
