Frank believes that “Yoga is a journey of awakening. We all have moments of clarity, of lucidity, where everything feels right or makes sense. We could think of these as moments of awakening. Yoga is about learning to trigger more frequently and for longer periods of time into the fullness of our being.
Yoga is about learning to live from our heart rather than our head: learning to recognize the beauty that surrounds us and supports us, learning to see that at the most fundamental level, there is a oneness that connects all of us.

Description of this November Anusara inspired Hatha Yoga retreat
This weekend’s eco yoga weekend retreat is titled Embracing your Potential
On this weekend you will be invited to open up to the pure potential that lies at the heart of your journey.
The tradition of yoga prompts us to discover that we have everything that we need inside of us for our own fulfilment.
Who is this November weekend retreat suitable for
This eco yoga retreat is suitable for all ages and all levels, from complete beginners to advanced.
Frank believes that “Yoga is a journey of awakening. We all have moments of clarity, of lucidity, where everything feels right or makes sense. We could think of these as moments of awakening. Yoga is about learning to trigger more frequently and for longer periods of time into the fullness of our being.
As usual on our eco yoga retreats, Dave will take the group out on a guided outing into the Burren hills or by the sea. This is a great way to get to see some special places in the Burren well away from the usual tourist places.
During our guided outing we stop off for lunch at one of the local restaurants or cafes which is a great way to sample the best of the locale cuisine in the Burren.
These eco yoga retreats are a great combination of
- the best of yoga and meditation instruction
- guided outings to some very special places in the Burren
- sampling local cuisine
- enjoying meeting like minded people
- amazing vegetarian food by Paddi the cook
all within a genuine yogic environment.
Yoga is about learning to live from our heart rather than our head: learning to recognize the beauty that surrounds us and supports us, learning to see that at the most fundamental level, there is a oneness that connects all of us.
Yoga is about aligning physically to allow for a greater degree of freedom in our bodies, freeing up energy that is stuck and blocks us, so that we may have a deeper experience of our true nature.
Yoga is about a fundamental recognition that we are all deeply connected. ”
On Friday and Saturday Paddi the cook who used to run Seventh Heaven restaurant for over 12 years, will prepare a vegetarian feast which is as much a feast for the eyes as for the tummy.
Everybody raves about Paddi’s food, and many say that is why they come back here time and time again.
Paddi wrote her own vegetarian cooking book in 2008 and has been working full time for Burren Yoga for the past 11 years.
On this weekend, we will explore the boundaries of our potential through yoga, meditation and working with the breath.
Learning to say yes to the whole spectrum of life is an integral part of this practice. We become more attuned to that which is already present and good in our lives, learning to savour the precious moments and to see obstacles that we encounter as opportunities to deepen our potential.
Each of us carries within us a blueprint for living our life in optimal alignment with the highest potential possible.
Sometimes we stop off for a walk along the beach on our way home from our guided outing.
Fanore is a lovely beach where we often go for surfing during the summer.
This weekend will be invitation to an ever deepening, ever expanding, process of awakening to the deepest essence, the ground of our being.
This practice invites us to move in the direction of our highest potential while living a fully engaged life in the tradition of a house holder.
At the core of this practice are the 3 pillars of Living from the Heart, the Biomechanics of Alignment, and Celebrating Community. Living from the Heart is about learning to see the underlying goodness in ourselves and others, and from this perspective opening up to possibility. The Biomechanics of Alignment help align our bodies physically to be free from pain and to find freedom.
Celebrating Community is about recognizing that when an experience is shared a deep bond is created and this leads to a more profound experience.
When we open our hearts together in community, magic happens!
