Ashtanga Vinyasa yoga CD
This ashtanga practice is strong and physically challenging and should not be attempted if you have a bad back or problems weith your neck or knees or any other meditacl condition.
It is preferable that you have already received direct supervision and guidance from a qualified ashatnga yoga teacher before practicing to this CD.
This CD is ideal for those attending an ashtanga yoga class, but trying to build up the practice on their own at home.
This CD is a guided Ashtanga yoga class consisting of
- 5 sun salutation A’s
- 5 sun salutation B’s
- All the standing postures
- The first set of sitting postures as far as Navasana (the boat pose)
- The closing sequence
Style of teaching on this Ashtanga CD
Dave Brocklebank teaches in a calm clear fashion, emphasising the breath, correct alignment within postures offering reminders and tips on what to watch out for while practicing. The instructions are precise and easy to follow by those who have already attended an ashtanga yoga class and are reasonably familiar with the postures within the Primary practice as far as Navasana.
There is also reminders for Moolabandha and Uddiyanabandha.

Separate tracks so you can chose what top practice
Each of the sun salutations is recorded onto a seperazte track, so if you only feel like practing 4 rounds of A, and 3 rounds of B, and skipping some postures while focussing on others, it is easy to skip tracks and move forward to the postures you wish to practice on any particualr day.
There are 47 tracks in all.
This CD is only for those who already have been to an ashatnga class
You may use this to practice ashtanga at home on your own.
Only suitable for those who have already attended an ashtanga yoga teacher and who has been given duirect guidance from the teacher on their alignment, posture and how to practice the asanas.
This CD is not suitable for complete beginners who wish to learn the Ashtanga sequence and who have not attended an ashtanga class with a qualified yoga teacher.
