Learn How to Meditate
An easy step by step way for you to learn how to meditate.
The instructor is Dave Brocklebank (founder of Burren Yoga Retreat) who has been meditating since 1978.
Dave makes the process of learning meditation very easy and suitable for all ages.
At the end, you will be able to meditate yourself without having to rely on guided instruction.
This will help bring calmness and peacefulness to your mind, help you to let go of thoughts, and to improve inner happiness and love.

What is covered on the course?
The ‘Learn How to Meditate Course’ is a daily class of approx 25 minutes daily for 30 days.
See list of Topics that will be covered at ‘Online Meditation Classes‘.
Ideally these should be 30 consecutive days so that your practice will go deeper and deeper.
If you miss a day, you should simply practice the class that you missed the following day.
If you do miss 1 day, it will take you 31 days to complete the course and this is fine. It is purely up to you to complete the course in whatever time you prefer. It is the same cost.
Cost of the 30 day course
Each class is between 20 and 25 minutes.
€120 full course of 30 days
This works out at €4.00 per class.
I completed Dave’s meditation course in May 2012.
I found this course to be excellent.
Dave demystifies meditation, making it practical, while also introducing aspects of the philosophy of meditation throughout the course. This gave me a great understanding and respect for Dave’s approach to meditation.
Whenever i tried meditation in the past i found it tiresome. After doing this course i now practice everyday and ensure that i don’t miss a session. I am doing it as per the course now for 5 months and there are certainly benefits, the main one being more aware of everything really. I am more mindful without even being conscious of it. The benefits flow in a natural way, as this is very much the essence of the meditation itself.
So all in all if you are considering doing the course don’t delay!

I recently completed Dave’s on-line 30 day meditation course.
The fact that there is a module each day helped me to get into a morning routine which I looked forward to and I found the topics covered in the instruction such as posture, dealing with distractions and the general nature of the mind very enlightening. Dave delivers the topics clearly each day in “bite size” chunks in very peaceful surroundings and during the actual guided meditations he interjects with very quiet reminders to help maintain focus. These are faded out gradually as the days progress.
I would recommend this course. I have managed to continue with the practice and to integrate it into my everyday life, I generally feel much calmer and aware and I believe that anyone would accrue the same benefits.

Anyone can meditate!
In this 30 day course Dave will guide you in the basics of meditation. You will learn about the history and benefits of meditation. Dave makes it easy to learn and enjoy the power of meditation. He is accompanied by his adorable daughter so you get to see an experienced practitioner and someone completely new to meditation.
I dabbled with meditation in the past but never really knew what meditation was about or how to do it properly. I work as a nurse and needed something to help me deal with the stresses of work.
I met Dave a few years ago on a Yoga Holiday in Ireland and spent time at his Yoga Centre. When I found that he was offering a meditation course- I did not hesitate to sign up.

I learned to meditate at the Burren Yoga Centre 18 years ago but for a number of reasons had never embedded the practice into my daily life. During the Covid 19 lock down when everything was moving online I was delighted to learn that Dave had created an online meditation course.

The meditation course was very informative. I really enjoyed the talks before the meditation explaining the different aspects of meditation including when is the best time to do it and all the helpful tips to make it an enjoyable experience.
