Reduced fare taxi is quickest

The reduced fare taxi costs €80 and the taxi driver will team you up if anybody else is flying in close to your arrival time.

You need to book this taxi yourself at least 24 hours before you arrive.

James the taxi driver will wait for you at arrivals with your name on a sign.

Special rate for Burren Yoga is €80 for the taxi fare. This is for 1 person. The taxi fare is €90 for 2 to 4 people.

If your flight is delayed more than 1 hour you will be charged at €45 per hour or part of.

Please note that a normal taxi from Shannon airport can cost as much as €100, so best to phone James in advance.

Best not to plan to stay in Shannon

If your flight arrives very early, it is recommended that you take the Bus Eireann Scroll down to bus number 51 direct to Galway city and to spend the day there.

There is nothing attractive or interesting in Shannon, and Galway is a lovely town / city to walk around.

Arrival time at Burren Yoga is between 5:00 and 7:00 pm

The centre will be cleaned from top to bottom to make sure it is ready for our guests to arrive at 5:00 pm.

We ask people to arrive not earlier than 5:00 pm on Friday, as we will be getting everything ready for the retreat, and we may also have to be away from the centre in order to get supplies.

Bus from Shannon is cheaper but takes more time

The Bus Eireann Scroll down to Bus number 51 from Shannon airport to Gort costs approx €5.

It can take approx 1 hour to get to Gort, and best for you to check the timetable at the above link.

Taxi from Gort to Burren Yoga costs approx €18.
