Our guests come from all over the world and from all walks of life.

Many people come here expecting top class yoga and meditation, and top class vegetarian food and top class outings in the Burren hills and by the sea and top class luxury accommodation …

But what many people are surprised with is the huge social aspect of our retreats.

Meeting like minded people, and often making friends for life.

It is lovely to see how a group of complete strangers can all come together and within a few hours are chatting together as if they knew each other for their whole life.

19th – 21st April Yoga Retreat.

Yoga Flow and Yin yoga weekend with Grainne O’Malley.

Grainne brings a lovely balance of fun and enjoyment to her breath-focussed flowing yoga classes, helps you to let go in her more tranquil Yin yoga classes.  😎👌🔥

Grainne teaches both Yoga flow, and also Yin yoga. In her yoga flow classes one’s focus is maintained on the breath, and coordinating the breath with the flowing movements. Grainne’s Yin yoga is more relaxing and restorative.

All our classes, outings and meals are optional, so you are free to join all or some as you please during the weekend.

However over 95% of people relish the freedom of not having to decide or choose what to do each day, and go with the full programme which is a well tried recipe which we have been running and improving on since 1999.

During our guided outing we go to one of the local cafes and it is lovely to also get a chance to taste some of the best local cuisine.

And after lunch there is the opportunity to go for a bracing dip in the sea.  🏊‍♀️

This is optional 😉

The food at the Burren Yoga Retreat is to die for… and many people say they would come back here for the food alone.  🍓🍰💌🧸

And at this time of year, it is lovely to see the Burren wild flowers popping up. This is the time to see the first Spring Gentians.   💐🌷🌹🌸🌺

Burren wild flowers April is when we first see t

Burren wild flowers

April is when we first see the Spring Gentian flower which is a vivid gentian blue colour.

It is like meeting an old friend again when each year at this time we see the first Spring Gentians.

The Burren was formed 330 Million years ago… which is a number that we just don’t comprehend.

At that time the Burren was a shallow coral sea.

When this formed into limestone over millions of years, all the soil was alkaline.

And during a number of ice ages, the glaciers picked up large deposits of acid soil from Connemara, and deposited them in the Burren.

So we get wild flowers that will only grow in alkaline soil, right next to flowers that will only grow in acidic soil.

It is one of the reasons why botanists from all over the world come to the Burren to see this unique amazing variety of wild flowers all growing side by side in the same wonderful location.

Special yoga weekend 12th – 14th April
Niamh Jones will teach a variety of types of yoga including vinyasa flow, yogalates, kundalini, Bikram, ashtanga, restorative, yin,
deep relaxation yoga nidra and meditation.
Niamh Jones is an inspirational and passionate leader, who introduced Bikram yoga to Ireland 20 years ago and whose enthusiasm
and good humour know no bounds.
Niamh’s gentle encouragement and adjustment tweaks will help you to deepen your practice and you will be able to bring these learnings home with you.
Treat yourself to this luxurious retreat and meet like-minded people in this very positive uplifting environment.
As well as being a very gifted yoga teacher with well over 20 years experience of teaching, Niamh has completed many years of training

in Shamanic healing, she weaves in her own invigorating energy medicine meditation to power up the seven chakras and remove blockages.
As usual we will have our guided outing into the Burren hills followed by a lovely lunch in one of the local cafes by the sea.
Followed by an optional invigorating sea swim or maybe a paddle if you only feel like dipping your toe into the sea.
Followed by a Bikram hot yoga in the glass walled yoga studio with stunning views over the Burren hills.
And you can see from our previous reel posted yesterday… the types of amazing food that Claire our chef will serve up for dinner.
Dessert will be equally divine; Last week’s retreat we ate raw salted caramel tart, boiled orange and almond cake and dark chocolate mousse were mouth-wateringly good and consumed completely guilt-free.

All our organic vegetables are supplied by Beechlawn organic farm.
Claire our chef used the best of ingredients and her skill as a chef with many years experience.
